About the venue
Opened 2002
The first NFL facility built with a retractable roof, whose two panels open or close in as little as seven minutes. Home of the NFL's Houston Texans and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, it has hosted two Super Bowls (XXXVIII and LI), a College Football Playoff title game, and Copa América Centenario matches. For the 2026 World Cup, branded "Houston Stadium," it stages seven matches and swaps its turf for natural grass.
