Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
GoalBracket (“we”, “us”) is a World Cup 2026 bracket-prediction site. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information (only if you register): your email address, display name, and optional favorite team. Authentication may also be handled by Google if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Your predictions: the brackets and pools you create, and your scores.
- Usage & device data: if analytics is enabled, standard data such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser, and device — collected via cookies.
Cookies & similar technologies
- Essential: needed to sign in and keep you logged in. Always on.
- Analytics: if enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand traffic.
- Advertising: if enabled, we use Google AdSense to show ads that help keep the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads.
Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) load only after you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, those scripts are not loaded.
Third parties
We rely on Google (Analytics, AdSense, and optionally Google sign-in). Their use of data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Some pages may link to ticket marketplaces via affiliate links; clicking them takes you to that third party, which has its own policy.
Your choices
- Accept or decline non-essential cookies via the banner (clear your site data to reset the choice).
- Manage Google ad personalization at Google My Ad Center.
- Delete your account anytime from your profile — this deactivates it and anonymizes your public display name.
Children
GoalBracket is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
