About the venue
Opened 2015
Opened in 2015 as the home of C.F. Monterrey (Rayados) — the most expensive stadium in Mexico at the time. Designed by Populous, its angular steel roofline frames a dramatic view of Cerro de la Silla, the saddle-shaped mountain that inspired its "Steel Giant" nickname. It was the first football stadium in North America to earn LEED Silver certification, and is branded "Estadio Monterrey" for 2026.
